First of all: Senate rejects gay marriage amendment. YAY! I mean, okay, the vote was pretty close, but yeah. Good for them.

Amazon is having another crazy DVD sale. Among other things, Buffy season 1-7 for $19.97 each. I totally just bought Space Above & Beyond as well as Buffy season 4.

Today at work we had a bid for... Gould (sic). They wanted a couple installed. Yeaaaaah.

So. Apparently... SG-Command.net got hacked by some loser in Turkey. All data has been lost and all user accounts and passwords have been hacked. Beautiful. They set up a temporary chat area on MySpace, but there is still no way in hell you're getting me on that thing. Oh well. There's always Stargate6.com in the meantime.

And the lighting in those photos is so dark. Especially in that gate pic. It looks like all their faces are in half-light. Very cool. I love it.

I actually don't like the darkness of the photos. They feel too worked over. Whoever is taking photos needs to get a light meter and stop screwing aorund with the airbrush.

I guess I like the darkness because I'm taking it as a harbinger of things to come. Those are way darker than the S1/S2 pics. I've kind of wanted SGA to go dark for some time. Which probably does more to prove my nerdy sadness than anything... speccing over plot developments via the promo photos. *sighs*

Heee! I like photos with a dark mood, but to me, these photos seem dark more because of poor technique than a planned design.

Ah, in addition - does the fact that there is an Atlantis flag on the leather jacket's arm mean that John gets to wear it on the show as well? Because in that case I might spontaneously combust.

Yep, as athenaktt said, he is definitely wearing it in "Sateda." And I'm not really objecting to the hotness of John in leather, but the inclusion of a leather jacket as standard field gear (which is what the patches imply) is puzzling.

FYI those are the slimline repackaged sets with no extras. They are the episodes only and I hear the transfer quality is sort of sketchy. But then again, I've paid $25 for bootlegged shows of various quality, soo....

Yeah, I know they are the re-released slim versions. The originals were still ridiculously priced at 90-100 each. Then again 25 is pretty cheap for any show. :p
