Forgot to post this yesterday, I think, but SciFi Wire has a wee article on Nathan Fillion, who will always be my Captain. There's is Firefly/Serenity/Browncoat talk and brief mention of his new film, Slither.

alorarose linked me to a video demo of the new Maxis game, Spore. Video is about half an hour. OMG THERE IS A MATING SCENE. And you can grow tribes and stuff. This is way cooler than SimLife XD Bwaaah! There's a UFO you can get and abduct other lifeforms and you can terraform and seed life on other planets! Holy crap. OMG. Explosive decompression! You can build cities underwater!! Okay, who's thinking Atlantis? *flails* Did he say interstellar drive? Omg. He did. And he totally just nuked that little planet. BWAHAHAHAAH! (full one hour presentation) When does this game come out?! It hasn't even been revealed at E3 yet. Bacteria to Galactic God, indeed.

synecdochic posted a DVD-style commentary of "Freedom's Just Another Word..." I've not read it yet, but will shortly.

Since the announce has been made at allusory_tea, I present new artwork for this fantastic fic series.

Overall, I'd have to say I like the look and feel of this piece much better than the last one I did. Because really, how am I supposed to handle representing the destruction of the known universe? But creepy AI? I can totally do creepy AI.

This piece is absolutely fantastic. It looks and feels so very like the idea of Atenë
in the story. It's beautiful and slightly unsettling at the same time.

I really like the collage style of both pieces (Atenë & Atropos). If I look at your pictures, I remember scenes of Fates and the combination of artwork and implication is just . . . intense.

I'd love to see all the Fates inspired artwork - your pieces, the banners and icons - in one place someday. Rumor has it someone wants to do a homepage. That'd be great :).

I also love the icons you've made for allusory_tea. The 'Two Writers, One Brain' really cracked me up. The others are just utterly beautiful!
