Jan. 5th, 2006 07:53 pmWork was sucky as always. Wasn't feeling well and left a little early. I wasn't scheduled, but was told this afternoon that I needed to go in 12-6pm to close. Great. Then I get to work all day Saturday too. Meh.
Today is Joe Flanigan's 39th birthday. He does not look 39. Heh. It's also Paul McGillion's 37th. Yay for SGA actor's birthdays! XD There's a short article thing on Joe in the LA Daily News here.
fyrdrakken - I got the DVD today. Thank you! :D Can't wait to watch it.
avaaricious - Got the book today. Arrived safely. Love the card and the picture of Taj ^^ Thank you!
The jackhole has been calling us again. Of course it's only when he wants things (like me helping him with some crap on his laptop that I don't know how to fix because a] no clue what he's talking about and b] I don't care) or if he doesn't know how to balance a fracking back account and thus overdraws again and bounces a car payment. In the case of the second sitch, he calls us to yell at my mother for not keeping an eye on his account or depositing his checks for him. Glargh. *twitch*
Dude. The hell? Two of my packages from Newegg are sitting in Buffalo and the third one I'm still waiting on is "in transit." *scowl* Am I getting these any time this week, or what? In related news, I still don't know what to name the new machine, so I'm asking for a little help from my friends via a dorky poll:
[Poll #646412]
Edit: If it helps, the case will look sort of like this, my laptop is named Talyn and I think of my Jeep as Jumper 1.

'STARGATE' KEEPER: There's no slacking off on the job when it comes to the Sci-Fi Channel's "Stargate Atlantis," says actor Joe Flanigan, who plays Lt. Col. John Sheppard, or else fans would let them have it. "The show's got a huge Internet following, so quite a bit of thought goes into the thing. Our fans are pretty smart, and if you miss something, then they will remind you, so the show is meticulous in its accuracy," he admits.
With the second season premiering Friday, Flanigan thinks people will be pleased. As for what to expect, he says, "We've got this mortal enemy known as the Wraith, and we discover that they have all sorts of layers of complexity. We learn a lot about them, and it creates a whole new set of story lines."
In the meantime, Flanigan is spending time with his family before he has to return to Vancouver in February to begin filming season 3. "We've bounced around a fair amount for a family. I like to keep my kids in one school, so I'm trying to do that. Right now they're in New York," he notes. "It's challenging, but I'm not the first guy to go through this."

my vehicles & equipment don't have names. I really envy people who's imagination allows them to name their innanimate objects...even my dogs have names *other people* gave them....
