I'm really happy to see some of the episode tags being written for "Grace Under Pressure." I've read three of them already and recommend them.

+ We Have Lingered by [livejournal.com profile] trinityofone (PG, McKay/Sheppard)
+ Undertow by [livejournal.com profile] stillane (PG13, McKay/Sheppard, could be gen if you ignore the last sentence.)
+ Absolution by [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt (PG13, McKay/Sheppard)

In related topics, my next mix is done. I think. I just need to make a pretty cover for it and I can post it. 16 tracks, clocking in at 71min, with 21 minutes of intrumental music. Heh.

Is anyone having trouble with del.icio.us? I keep getting a database error that sometimes goes away if I refresh. Meh.

I did some card writing today. I have no idea what my list looks like and... well, basically, I'm writing cards for people I have addresses for. Mostly. I dunno. At least I got my fandom holiday card assignment done.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] hostilegirl17, [livejournal.com profile] lilorphanannie, and [livejournal.com profile] queenmaab. I got your cards and they're all lovely ^^ Thank you so much! *hugs*

There's an airport Christmas party tonight. Last week I was asked by the boss if I wanted to go. I said sure, 'cause free food. How can you go wrong? Well, yesterday, she tells me she's going to need to me to work later tonight because she's keeping the shop open during the party. So, basically, this equates to me being in the shop during most of said party. Just. Wow. Really. Wow. Maybe I should have said no :-P Meh. Better go get ready to leave.

Oh. Just remembered that my father's mother called the other day to ask my mom if she said she wanted to divorce my father. There was extended conversation about how if she were still here then everything would be fine and that I'm sick because my father is not home. Uhm. Right. Anyway, she basically tried to tell my mom that she should suck it up and stick it through because divorce will make children mentally ill. No, really, she said divorce makes children mentally ill. There was more, but I didn't hear most of it. I think the rest was just about how my father works really hard and that my mother should be supportive and welcoming when he comes home. Yeah, whatever.

My mother checked their e-mail yesterday and it seems my father was in Shanghai last week. Huh. He got invited to some birthday parties or something and said he couldn't go because he was going to be in Shanghai for the week. Well, that pretty much explains why we didn't here from him at all. He can't spare the time to call us normally, never mind if he's in another country and has to make an international phonecall. So mom and I have decided not to tell him we're going to Taiwan for three weeks. I doubt he'll be coming home anyway.

Right. Really going to get ready for work now.

Wha? Isn't it more damaging to "children" for all parties involved to pretend that everything's okay?

{hugs}

That's what my mother tried to explain, but you know how it goes with those old world ideals. *shrugs*
