Uh. forcryinoutloud and I may be thinking about an archive site for the sga_flashfic Harlequin Challenge entries. Because the crack. OMG. It must be saved for all to enjoy forever. I already have a cheesetastic layout in mind, possibly with the corntastic colors of pinks and purples and golds. Maybe. Definitely silly scrolling in gold. Yes.

Meh. Going to the doctor now. Yay?

So I was thinking about the harlequin thing ::whistles:: What if we made...instead of or rather as a compliment to the website a livejournal community specifically for harlequin sga?? Like harlequin_sga or sga_harlequin. One that has all the pretty pinks and gold and swirls and stuff...cool banner etc. A place where people can post new harlequin entries and we could say get them from there to put on the website??

A community for new stuff as a compliment to the site would be good, because the whole point of the site is a permanent archive of the stuff somewhere (especially for graphics).

I'm working on a mock front page/coming soon thing for the site so there will at least be an address to point the flashfic mods to (and for the announcement). I also contacted my friend about setting up a database archive - which basically means we can update and edit fic from an admin page on the site. We'll still have to handcode the fic (which is easy), but we won't have to worry about uploading/downloading. (for example, see: wrfa)

I think we're going to spend a fair amount of time collecting fics/art before the site is really ready to go. So I think the first admin post should tell people to contact us if they have anything they'd like to submit and that they can start posting things to the comm after the flashfic challenge is over? *nudges you that way* :D

I've emailed my super awesome PHP programming geek about what we need and she'll e-mail me back with how much time it'll take her to get it done. So. Yeah. Right now it's just time for culling and preparing ;)
