Went on errands with mom & [livejournal.com profile] seijitataki. Had breakfast at the diner.

Went to Circuit City and snagged a copy of Sin City - they were out of the lithographs, but that was sort of expected. I should have just gotten my ass over there on Tuesday. Oh well. I got the slipcase with Dwight and Gail on it. Also picked up a nice laptop bag where I can put all my documentation and accessories instead of having them in bags all over my floor.

Stopped at BJ's to find a few things and on the way out I spotted the Samsung YH-820. $200, 5GB, color screen. I so wanted one until I came home and checked out reviews. Laggy, buggy, crashy, and you have to use Napster 2 Go. Meh. I'll pass. I'll probably still lean towards the Creative Zen Micro if I do decide to spend $200 on a new player. (Of course, if I had $400 to spend, I'd probably preorder the Zen Vision. Is purdah.

Hmm.. now I'm going to go work on my commission and maybe make some more icons.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that on the way home, we passed a big accident on Central. A car had flipped over and hit a telephone pole. There were several emergency vehicles and four police vehicles blocking the road and one of the officers was taking photos of the scene.

The Zen Micro is a solid player, a friend got one (Aside from the software that creative supplies, yick.) NewEgg has good prices on them...

Mmmm. Sin City. How much was it at CC?

Cool. I have a friend who got the Zen Micro, too.

Sin City was $14.99 at Circuit City this week.

I was thinking about getting SIN CITY but, when I saw how thin it was when it came to special features, I decided to wait for the inevitable special edition.

Good point - this version is just the movie with a behind the scenes thing. I'll probably end up getting the special edition if it comes out. Heh.

With all of the technical intricacies that went into making that movie, it would seem to a waste to not have things like shot-by-shot descriptions to show how the effects were layered or even a director commentary with Rodriguez and Miller.
