The new X-3 teaser poster only tells me one thing: the art department is still competent.
Darklight
So... having watched "Darklight" again, this time paying attention to David Hewlett, I still really love it and wish the series had gone ahead. Shiri Appleby was excellent as Lilith. I thought her Darklight form would be an interesting prototype for a live action Gargoyles feature... but I'm weird. Right-o, so Hewlett was the highlight this time around. I know there are a lot of people who find him omghawt on SGA, but I never did. Especially not when he was on SG1. I just sort of liked his acting and his character. Uhm. However. I don't know when this film was shot, but he was definitely slimmer and more.. uh.. fit. Heh. Clearly, I have a thing for the bad boys because he was totally hot when he was walking around being all menacing. And shirtless.
SGA Vidding
I want to make an SGA vid to "Battleflag" by Lo-Fidelity All-Stars -- if I can find the shorter radio edit on MP3. It's such a season 1 song and when I heard it on the radio this morning, I was storyboarding as it played. Also, "Bohemian Like You" is a Ford season 2 song. No, really. When I get my new laptop, I'll probably try doing something.
Haven't done any video editing in ages and lately I've sort of been itching to do one. The last thing I did was a silly tweak of the "Return of the King" trailer weaving in Tom McRae's "Overthrown." *shrug* Just have to figure out how to snag clips off my VCDs (VirtualDub, I think...). Or I could be real retarded and try recutting "Bloodreign." Uhm. Nah.
Long Way Round
Parts of my flist are exploding with squee having just watched this mini-series. I absolutely adore Ewan in it and am really glad I shelled out the big bucks for a UK DVD those many, many months ago. I'm still very relieved that he didn't go totally blind getting petrol in his eyes twice. What kind of luck it that anyway, eh? Still want a copy of the soundtrack. And the book. Pretty sure I asked for it for Christmas.. and didn't get it. *pout* Also? Still pissed that Ewan & Charlie rode into NYC the week before I was scheduled to be down there.
In other news, I've decided I'm going to name my laptop Talyn. Yeppers. My laptop will be named after a testy (probably nutty), Leviathan hybrid. *is dorky* If it ever gets here, that is... *worries*

Neat name. I suppose mine should be named... let's see. It's cute (Dell 1100) and does what it's told, but sometimes it makes complaints. I'm torn between Rodney and Radek.
