Apr. 29th, 2005 09:26 pm3am: Mom woke me up. Told me to go back to sleep when she realized it was 3am and I didn't have to be up yet.
5am: Mom woke me up again, this time so I could get ready to take her to the airport and to work. Ugh.
6am: Had breakfast at McD's with mom and waited with her until her plane boarded. Sometimes it is nice working at an airport.
7am-1:30pm: Worked in shop. Which I had to open two hours early. liekomg. Yesterday I was told to clean, so I cleaned. So. Dirty. Mike came to visit me a couple times. Sat around. Did silly tasks. Sold some stuff. Waited to next person to come in so I could take a break, but she didn't come in on time, argh. Some silly excuse about spilling shampoo on her bathroom floor (?!?!!) and so I didn't get a break until 1pm when Berta came out. Billy at the cafe was nice enough to heat my lunch in the microwave. He is nice, unlike Spoon!Nazi.
1:30pm-3pm: Put moss around base of potted plants to get them ready for the floor. Ick. I'm allergic to the aged pots the boss ordered, so had to use paper towels to cover the pots when I had to move them. Ugh. Cleaned up all the dirt on the desk and floor. On my way out, was ambushed by boss. Suckered into working 2pm-5pm on Sunday. *stabs self* Was also teased because she saw me saying hello to to one of the TSA guys on my way out. "Are you flirting with everyone who sits in that chair?" she said. Dubbya tee eff.
4pm: Came home and found my "Cube" and "Century Hotel" DVDs had arrived. Received message on mobile from Matt asking if I wanted to get dinner and see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Pondered what I was likely to be doing tonightDVDs, reading McShep and decided to go. Yay.
5pm: Dinner at Houlihan's. Decent service. Cheap movie tickets. Think I owe Matt $3 'cause my wallet was a bit short.
6:20pm-8pm: The Twenty was scary as it was all little children things like a special edition of "Mathilda." Eh? Trailers were mildly interesting. "Pink Panther" and "Batman Begins" were the standouts. The movie itself was excellent. Loved the visuals and the cast. Wow, the cast. Brilliant! Warwick Davis & Alan Rickman as Marvin. Zooey Deshanel! Kelly Macdonald (who I have not seen since Trainspotting!! wait. lie. Finding Neverland.) Bill Nighy! Martin Freeman! Ah, it was great. I don't really remember the books much so I can't complain about changes. *shrug*
And now I shall either go watch the SGA rerun or "Cube" with commentary. Or both. And then read some McShep. Because it has EATEN MY BRAIN.

Date: 2005-05-01 02:26 am (UTC)hee, just thought this was funny because I work at an airport too. And if it weren't for all those passengers there it would be the coolest work place ever *g*

Date: 2005-05-02 08:54 pm (UTC)And I liked it better than I remembered liking the books, if only because I got pissed on my first reading when the Quantum Improbability Drive happened because I felt insulted as a reader.
