Apr. 22nd, 2005 12:20 amCame home and discovered that our power had gone out long enough for my UPS to drain and shut my computer off. Argh. Went around and reset all the clocks and took out the garbage. Also watered the plants. Was feeling strangely responsible today.
Work was busy, but fine. No matter how long I work there, I always show up feeling a bit like a massive idiot asking all these stupid questions that I should know the answer to. Oh well. At least I'm appreciated there. The boss is giving me as many hours as she can afford, which is nearly 38 hours every week. More than I'd like, really, but I have a hard time saying no to a boss who wants me to work more. I was talking to her about the projects I have going on and she apologized for iving me all these hours when I probably didn't want any - so I told her that it was all right because she was paying me and these other jobs (except one) aren't. Heh.
"Foolproof" and Babylon 5: In the Beginning/The Gathering DVDs arrived in the mail today. Uhm. Since when did SecondSpin.com start putting wanky little stickers that you can't get off on the backs? Ugh. At least all their DVDs are scratch-free and guaranteed. I watched "Foolproof" first, of course. Ryan Reynolds with a David Hewlett bonus - how could it go wrong? The movie itself was pretty entertaining and, maybe I'm dense, but I didn't think that was howit was going to end. I liked it a lot :)
Speaking of DVD's, Ben Browder's "The Killer Within" is supposed to be available at WalMart stores this week for $10. I'm tempted to make a trip just to see if it's true. I don't care how bad the movie might possibly be - BEN! We loves the Ben.
Have spent a lot of time tonight working on art... and reading McShep fic. But it's okay, 'cause the breaks are helping with the art. The last two pieces I did yesterday were... really bad. If only because I worked on 4 pieces without a proper break and they all became sort of messed up and overworked. Meh. So breaks: good.
crushw_eyeliner should be headed home tomorrow morning. I think. That should be some time soon, actually, what with the time difference. Have a safe trip home!!
