Mom came back from Taiwan today. She's arrived safely and all is good. She brought me back lots of shiny things - including a 1GB MP3 player that's the size of a keychain drive. It's got lots of fancy features and runs on 1 AAA battery. Yummy. Also got a few CDs and VCDs - one of which is the Takeshi Kaneshiro movie I'd been looking at on YesAsia. That's right, I'm now the proud owner of "Turn Left, Turn Right!" Mmm... Takeshi goodness.

Queer Eye for the British Guy? Is so amusing. For real. Carson ran into Graham Norman and they chatted and harassed Palace guards. Kyan is still a hottie and he was wearing a suit. Eep. Kyan is my fave Fab Five member, if anyone hasn't guessed :-P Totally my type... uh... except he's gay, so... *shrug* He and Joe Flanigan (Sheppard on Stargate: Atlantis) have similar facial features - features I love. I have no idea what the point of this ramble is except that I love Kyan and Joe Flanigan. One's gay and the other's married with two kids. Figures.

This is random Stargate: Atlantis babble: Paul McGillion (Carson Beckett) is Scottish, but was raised in Canada from the age of 2. So, the accent is fake... except it's not. Uhm. Check out the short film Sploosh to hear Paul with a weird half-Scottish accent. *glances over IMDB* DUDE! Paul was in the X-Files episode "Small Potatoes" (and Smallville...)

Okay. Enough geeking. Time for bed.

1. i LOVE dr. beckett. so underrated he isn't even in the opening credits! granted, i have a scottish fetish, but he's frickin' adorable. and the fact that he's basically scottish-canadian is like, awesome. the union of my two favouritest countries! :p

2. wow, joe & kyan do look a lot alike...so odd! (but i love them both as well. you are not alone! *g*)

3. okay, well, it's a given that my tape of the premiere of Atlantis did not survive. any chance you could catch me up for next week? (which i will likely have the 'rents tape, because i doubt my tv will be back...unless i can conquer the main lounge...)
