Got back from the doctor. Well, she's a practitioner. Anyway. Listed my symptoms and I think she zoned out 1/3 of the way through. Told me she'd write a perscription for antibiotics ("just in case") and give me some Zyrtec. Uhm.. okay? I told her about the possible carbon monoxide issue and she just sort of looked at me and shrugged it off. I asked her again and finally she said they could do the bloodwork. So, I got four tubes of blood drawn - on the first try. I'm impressed. Results are expected on Tuesday.

Left office. Went to a computer place so [livejournal.com profile] seijitataki could get a new power supply and then Walmart to get a few things. When I woke up this morning, I felt pretty good and thought, "hey, maybe I can go to work this morning," but by the time I was leaving Walmart, I felt totally drained and really tired. Didn't even go get my perscription filled. I'm gonna go take a Zyrtec and hope that it's some weird allergy so I won't have to take the antibiotic. Doctor's write that stuff out too easily and I don't think people should be popping those all the time. Meh.

You're right about the prescriptions. Particularly with antibiotics. Too many doctors pass them out immediately, and your body can develop an immunity to them. Or, well, no, that's not technically what happens, but yeah. If you take them too often, they stop working.

Hope you start feeling better soon.

Aren't Zyrtec antihistamins? I used to get those for my allergies - only they weren't strong enough so I had to change to something else.

Yikes....I'm sorry. I hope your doc isn't as flakey as she sounds. At least you have the sense to not pop antibiotics like candy, so, I hope it gets better for you. Allergies can be nasty, nasty beasts.

Glad the bloodwork went well. *shudder* Hate that stuff.
