amezri: (what part of this is okay?)

I can sum up this morning's news thusly: BALLS

I don't care how this sounds, and those of you I've talked to know I try really hard not to take it personally if my friends are Bush supporters and I don't really think less of you for voting for him because we've talked about it I can likely see your reasons for doing so, even if I don't understand, but...

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!

There. I said it. It's my opinion and I've said it. I hope those of you who voted for Shrub are happy and secure with your choice. I'm sad and disappointed. Part of me hopes this will all turn out okay, but another part of me is sure it won't. Yet another part of me hopes this whole fucking country goes down in flames just so I can say I told you so, but that would be vicious and wrong, so it's just a small part.

While we're on this, can someone PLEASE think of something more damning about Kerry than him changing his mind (which he sort of only did once or twice) and being anti-war even though he was in the military? I still see this being slung around and it's completely stupid. They never could find anything seriously wrong with his character, so they made this shit up. At least when I say Bush is an idiot and incapable of speaking English properly, it's TRUE.

+ Bush declares election victory, Kerry conceeds.
+ President Bush rode to re-election because he managed to persuade enough Americans not to change their leader in time of war.
+ Bush's victory speech
+ Kerry's concession speech

... they sure did give Bush teenie tiny sentences that he could remember, didn't they?

I agree with everything [livejournal.com profile] buhfly says. America has disappointed me. Sorry if you voted for Bush, but yeah...

[livejournal.com profile] khaosworks contemplates four more years.

So... 11 states passed bans on same-sex marriage. Ohio's ban also includes a section banning civil unions. I hope you're all fucking happy.

Once again, these are sweeping generalizations. I like those because I know that they're generalizations and I know that not all Republicans are uneducated hicks. It's like when I think Christians are nuts - I don't think all of them are, just the crazy raging ones that make themselves known because they're nust. I hope my friends don't take any of this personally as i don't take any criticism of Kerry personally.

I had about a dozen things written in response to this, but I don't want to start a war on Cyn's journal over something you probably will never be able to see the other side of.

I'm just hoping that after 4 more years of this we still have a Bill of Rights, as a woman I still have some civil rights left and that that the Fundamentalist Christians don't try too legislate their faith anyfurther ans turn into another Taliban right here at home.

Honestly? Reading the summary of that bill, I would have voted no as well, because of this line: Those who performed this procedure, would face fines and up to two years in prison, the women to whom this procedure is performed on are not held criminally liable.

If it's your body and you're having the abortion? You should be held liable. Unless you were drugged and carried into the doctor's office, you are just as responsible for the death of fetus.

Based on that one line, I'd vote no until the bill came back and that line was corrected.
