Spoilers for DLM 2.12

Uhm. Dude. What the hell was that?? And I'm referring to the end with the killing of Ray, who has NO SOUL and he pops out a graveling. Whaaaa?! Of course, I think it's cool that we find out where gravelings come from.

Mason? Sure does have a pair. When it counts, of course. I'm not at all happy with the Daisy/Mason ship the writers are pushing, but hey, as long as Mason stays on the show, I guess I can deal.

Though, I did sort of figure that after Daisy told him to piss off, he'd be waiting to ambush her somewhere.

Joy at Happy Time? George would freak if she ever found out. Wonder if Delores will mention it. I did like that Joy paused by Millie's cubicle.

Seems like we get three more episodes this season...

He was just an asshole. But he didn't get reaped beforehand, so I think if you add in that and the fact that he was murdered (because that's what Mason did, even if it was with the best intentions) caused to create the graveling.

Three more episodes remain of the Second Season, yes: Last Call, Always, and Haunted, which happens to coincide with Halloween.

Okay, maybe I didn't mean "no soul" in the sense that he had no actual soul.

I read an interesting theory at tvtome.com: I think he is what gravelings are before they become gravelings: sadistic men (or women) who enjoy causing pain. They revel in it. It makes sense, if you think about it, in that gravelings don't follow any schedule, they just go around wreaking havoc and killing people, and the reapers get there just before the gravelings and make it painless for the victims.

It makes a bit of sense, unless the writers are changing canon. George didn't reap one guy and he was suck in his body for the day - traumatized, but the soul was still there. Daisy reaped the girl in the hotel who was murdered.

There's way too much thought going into this...

No, no, I meant - the fact that it was a *reaper* who did the killing and the fact that the soul was unreaped combined to make a graveling.

Hmm. I don't buy it, but let's go with that thought.

Daisy said she'd seen it happen before. Makes one wonder if it was her who did the killing or if she's had another reaper wrapped around her finger.

Since Showtime seems to run on their own schedule, do either of you know when the third season will start? It is a very odd schedule they run on, I can't figure it out.

Cable networks did weird things to the "Premiere Season." Everything used to premiere in the fall, but then someone invented the summer premiere... which is good, because we get new shows to watch while the other shows are old. Most major cable networks have summer premieres as well as midseason premieres.

Erm.. but to answer your question, if they decide to continue with a third season, I'm guessing July.
