redecorating; darklight
Sep. 18th, 2004 11:42 pmCleaned out Jon's room upstairs. We'll be repainting it and making it a reading room. My father hates the idea, but then again he hates books and reading, so, you know...
Mom and I went to some furniture stores to look for things to put in the room. We found a really nice chaise we might be getting. Also stopped by Lowe's and grabbed a bunch of paint swatches. Not sure exactly what color we're going to use yet.
If my father cooks cauliflower and soggy bacon one more time, I'm going to throw it at him. He should just never cook anymore. Dinner tonight consisted of a handful of clams, a tasteless fish of questionable origin, and I already mentioned the cualiflower/bacon thing. Ugh. And my mom won't let me get a sandwhich because it's not nutritious? At least I'm not risking food poisoning.
Watched SciFi's new movie, Darklight. Shiri Appleby plays Lilith. It's sort of Witchblade meets Biblical myth. All that woman with a destiny stuff. I thought it was pretty entertaining and Lilith's transformations are neat - her full demon mode reminds me of the harpies from Hercules. It has definite series or sequel potential, which I hope will work out as I would totally watch another.
Time for bed. My father's supposed to be leaving tomorrow. Big yay.
8 days until Tom!
