What country do I live in again?

What do Universal and Janet Jackson have in common? They're both taking heat for showing too much during the Super Bowl. The studio has actually heard complaints about the graphic nature of the 60-second advertisement run for the upcoming Van Helsing, starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale.
That's just really, really ridiculous. First of all, fantasy violence. Second of all, I think you should worry more about all those half-naked models playing contact football and gratuitous beer commercials. Third of all, SHUTTHEFUCKUP!
Having said that, I'm glad Universal isn't backing down:
Writer/director Stephen Sommers has established himself as a filmmaker who creates entertainment enjoyed by audiences of all ages. The tone and content of Van Helsing have been designed to continue that tradition and fit well within the Motion Picture Association of America parameters established for a PG-13 rating. The 60-second advertisement for the film that ran during the Super Bowl was approved by the MPAA.
While the spot contained images of fanged fantasy creatures, it did not feature any blood or gore, nor any depiction of realistic graphic violence.
