work 'n stuff; lotr cast appearances

amezriRight. So about work today. Didn't finish nearly as many carts as I wanted because... I got pulled into Music duty. Many people called out sick. I pretty much spent 3 hours wandering around looking at CDs, trying to pretend I was busy and not looking like I was shopping. Nope. Not me. Shopping on the job? Uh uh.
Anyway... after break, I went back out on the floor. Put a bunch of books away. Then took the strangest phone call - rivaling that one at the Help Desk with people asking for Domino's or birth control pills - this man calls and says that we called and left a message. Okay, I'm thinking it's about an order. He proceeds to explain something about a doctor and an appointment, so I'm thinking maybe he wants us to hold the book for longer? He wants to talk to his doctor because he doesn't know what the message is about. ... Dude... we are not a doctor's office. I told him this. Five or six times. We are a bookstore, not a doctor's office. He then tells me all about his hemorroids (OMG. I don't want to know!) and then repeats the number he is given - it's our number all right. Except it's a line specific number, so that was weird. I can't get this man off the phone and he starts to demand to speak with another doctor. Maura says she can try to take the call. She simply tells the man we are a bookstore and he goes away. Eh?!?! What was I speaking German or something? Feh.
After work I stopped by Target to drop off my Hobbiton negatives for scanning to photoCD. The punk-goth boy wasn't there, but I think he processed them anyway, because the girl had made a notation to have them put on CD XD So when I went in a couple hours later to pick them up, Punk-Goth boy was there and pulled my order out of the drawer without even speaking to me. I was amused. Someday I should go in there and talk to him about my NZ pictures, because he seemed interested and looked like he wanted to talk about it... but didn't. Plus, he seems arty and we do loves the arty boys, don't we preciousss?
Realized a bit late that Elijah was on the Daily Show.. and the episode re-ran tonight at 7pm. [facepalm] I am such an idiot. At 5:30pm I was sitting there wondering if I could catch it sometime this weekend. Or torrent. Yes... Speaking of... what is with all the porn and pop-up ads at suprnova? We are not amused.

thebigfatman and Meleea. Meleea seemed very happy with the coins. thebigfatman gave me a scarf! It's sooo nice! ^___^ I luffs it! Thank you again!!
Had dinner at Applebee's with my mom. Mmm.. mad cow... tastey. Going to bed now.

Jan. 13 - Andy Serkis on Conan O'Brien (this is probably being taped the afternoon of.. the 13 or maybe the 12th after his signing at B&N)
