big e; walmart can kiss my ema
Sep. 28th, 2003 01:32 amAfter a stop at the post office to mail packages to
sg1padawan and
logansrogue, mom and I headed to Springfield, Mass for the Big E - an expo for the 5 Eastern States.. of which New York is not one. It's Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island. It was basically a giant fair with rides, games, crafts, infomercial-type items, food, etc. I did buy 5 packets of computer print media (bumper stickers, window decals, and tattoo paper) for only $10 :-D Best deal of the day. Mom got a SwiftMop and two microfiber cloths. Was interesting and did seem to work. Stopped at the Army/Navy surplus tent in hopes of getting a field bag or something else, but didn't see anything I liked. There were, of course, a number of Irish there for the Irish expo area - even had a pretty Irish boy selling those microfiber mops. Love the accent. That was pretty well worth the trip.. sort of.
While I was at the Expo, Walmart.com called to tell me I had to mail the empty case back to them and then they would credit my account or send me another. But then the woman said something about me having to call back to make sure I got the message.. but she didn't leave a number. I check my cell and call the number that is says - the number had been changed. So I call the number the machine lady tells me it's been changed to and it's some other security company. I called again after I got home and the voicemail said, "this is Officer so-and-so..." Officer?! I'm gonna call the 1-800 number tommorow and find out what the hell is going out. Are they just messing with me or what?
Tomorrow I have to help mom remove wallpaper. Yay? Then probably have to go buy wall spackle, because my dad seems to think a giant bucket of joint compound will do, even though it's half-dried. *rolls eyes* Whatever. He's not even home this weekend.
I was supposed to get a t-shirt so I could make a Boondock Saints t-shirt. Hrm.
Time for bed.
