Geez. Customers at work were the biggest jerks today. Rude, obnoxious, and... smelly. Listen, I'm helping a customer. Just back the fuck off! Grrr. On the bright side, Justin is taking my Thursday and Saturday shifts. Which means I don't work Wednesday - Sunday. I heart him. He is a rock star ^_^

Erm, but back on the downside, when my mom picked me up from work, she told me that we now only have one car. Why? because my father is an asshole and took the Bronco to Hunter to be "repaired." He drove the Volvo back, but - oh! shock & horror! - the thing barely made it to town in one piece so he dropped it off at the mechanics. Who knows when and if they will be able to fix it. Or how much we will have to spend in order to do so. Basically this means that next week we will have one vehicle. Good thing I'm only working 'til Tuesday, otherwise someone would have to die so we could take their $28k car with out fear of wrath.

Mom & I made brownies after dinner (which was gross.. and I think the chicken was undercooked..) and watched X-Men: Evolution and I Love the 70s: 1977. I found out my mother has never seen "Grease," but has seen "Saturday Night Fever." That's just wrong somehow...

"The Medallion"- you know what else was annoying? The pop songs sprinkled throughout. Particularly annoyed with the placing of Avril Lavigne's "Mobile" at the end. ::rolls eyes::

trippininabox turned 21 on August 26th and I totally missed it. I am such an asshole. >_< But she forgives me so I owe her something supernice for missing her 21st ^_^**

Is there some sort of shortcut to get amezri to display with another name as I have seen a few people do? Or are you doing it the long way with coding? ::is confused::

Must clean out computer tower this week. Is gross. And also work on Weta cover letter. Is important.

Do you mean when people use names other than the username but still with the little livejournal guy? Like Tink instead of ragingpixie? If so, you need a different LJ client. I use Semagic (which you can search the usernames for and download it from Sema's journal) but it's only geared for Windows. If you're using a Mac, forget it. :)

But... I just html'ed that and was wondering if there was a shortcut. Was told it's a feature on certain LJ clients. Of course it's the ones that crash my machine.

I know how to fiddle with that in an LJ entry (though not a comments post) so it has whatever text you want and links to an LJ, but not necessarily how to do that so it'll show the LJ symbol... Err, unless in the LJ client you use the "post link/image" option and click on the LJ user option in the window that pops up, then fill in the "Use Name" blank with what you want the name to be and make sure the "Use Image" box is checked off:

I basically just pulled up the LJ message I was composing, used that "post link" window to obtain the required code, and then copied and pasted the code into the entry I just made. Yes, it does link to amezri.
