down with work!
Aug. 23rd, 2003 12:00 amRight. So instead of cutting me back, I've now got 35.5 hours the week of August 31. At least I'm not working on my birthday. Sheesh. *stabs scheduling manager* I have to speak with her tomorrow. The store manager told me that they are really short at the moment and working on hiring, so I will sus out exactly how long I will be working these types of hours. If it's awhile, I'd at least like to request more time at cash wrap - info desk is stressing me out. Working again tomorrow. Surprise, surprise. Maybe I should stop trying so hard and be a slacker.
On the bright side, I won the Norah Jones CD. Hurrah. Thattotally doesn't makes up for the hours today. Oh! And I found the graphic novel version of Neil Gaiman's Stardust, so I bought that today.
My arm warmers have not arrived yet. *stabs postal service* I blame my inept mail man. Getoutofyourdamnmailcar, youlazyass!
Aw.. feck. My father's come home.

Date: 2003-08-23 04:29 am (UTC)I would rather stab my eyes out with a fork than work main time. *g* I HATE the cashwrap. Everyone in our store does.
People actually bitch and moan if anyone has more than two hours on main... because we all hate it that much.
Of course, we don't HAVE an info desk... but the old store did, and I love working at it. Working at info is my favorite. *g*
Crazy girl.

Date: 2003-08-23 04:37 am (UTC)The cashwrap people are all nice and chill and time passes by so much more quickly. Plus, if anyone has questions about books, we just send them over to Info. Heh.
