Yeah, yeah, I should have gone...
Jul. 30th, 2003 03:11 pmSonnuvabitch. I knew I should have gone to Siggraph this year. Even if I couldn't have afforded it (nor would I have understood half the geek stuff there), I should have dragged my sorry ass there. Disney was there pimping Pirates of the Caribbean and Media Design School was there pimping NZ and Lord of the Rings. ILM had a special session - last year we got two boring ones and a presentation by Sony for Spider-Man (which was cool, because the bloopers were priceless). Two Towers and X-2 were featured in the Animation festival, and the clips proably won't be on the Siggraph DVD. Glargh. I bet we (the Computer Art Club) could have swindled Student accounts into paying the $270 for my ticket too. Damn it.
Hrm. I could order this year's SVRs, I guess. $60 each, though. Ouch.
Eh... TheOneRing.net just took down the links to the ROTK trailer. So if anyone snagged it, would they be so kind as to pass it along ^_^* I'm on cable, so transfer should be quick-ish.
Hrm. Anyway. Pool is clean, got the mail and newspaper, and the dogs have been let out. Gee, you'd think I was the only person in this house and my brother isn't downstairs sitting in front of his computer. Off to work in a few. Fun fun.
