At times like these... I wish I lived in Toronto. Why? Evil Dead 1 & 2: the Musical!!

And... Two Towers matte paintings. If I were any good at that stuff... that's what I could do for a living.

(above two items provided by [livejournal.com profile] fyrdrakken)

My cousin may be designing my tattoo for me :D Eh, he seems kind of reluctant to, but we'll see what he comes up with. Still haven't decided where to put it.. ankle seems like the default area.

Um.. right.. I was to be in bed 2 hours ago.

All those aren't from Two Towers, are they? *looks concerned*

Oh. LOL No. Not all of them ^_^* The first three rows or so, I think. I don't know what movie the others are from - but they look cool.

They do look cool. I just took one look at that blimp and really started worrying about ROTK, you know? *laughs*

... that would be really scary. The Tolkien fans would all fly down to NZ to beat the production team to death.

Ankles are popularly reputed to be the most painful tattoo location. As my father's billing clerk noted (who at the time I was talking to her had just gotten her fourth and was therefore experienced in these matters), if the one on her ankle had been her first she never would have gotten any other tattoos.

I'm thinking outer lower thigh for my second. Easier to show off than the one I already have...

I have a pretty high pain tolerance once I get over the initial shock :D

I haven't really decided where I want it yet. Still thinking about it all...

fyrdrakken: (Dragon)
From: [personal profile] fyrdrakken
When I got mine, I was partly inspired by Dad's tale of running into a woman who had a dragon tattoo curving around her hips and rear that would have been perfectly hidden by a "modest bikini bottom." Finding out (by reading the various care instructions on the little release I signed at the tattoo parlor) that UV light is very very bad for tattoos and makes the ink break down and blur the design made me feel I'd made the right decision in placing mine where I did. (Easier to keep it covered than to remember to gloop on sunblock heavily everytime you go out with that particular patch of skin exposed.)

Course, at the time I wanted to keep mine hidden and didn't realize how badly I'd want to show it off. Keeping it in a location that's easy to hide in office wear (or even formal wear) is a good thing, but somewhere you can show it off without having to flash people might be a lot of fun too.

*nods* I know what you mean. People will want to see it, and having to strip to show them would only be fun for them. Heh.

I don't go out in the sun too often (pretty much just for yardwork). I wear pants 99% of the time, and boots 99% of the time I wear dresses/skirts, so I think I'll be okay with the sun exposure factor. :)
