Dave is taking forever and a day designing my tattoo. I'm thinking I might just send my design to this site and have them do it for the $75. Could be worth it, since it's going to be on my person permanently. I'll send an inquiry e-mail tomorrow to see if I can get a cheaper deal since my design is done and I just want it rendered in brush strokes.

[livejournal.com profile] dragonembers - I sent you a txt, but I don't know if it went through because LJ is being a bastard. So I'll try one more time...

My Brisco County and Jack of All Trades VCDs arrived in the mail today. Brisco is outstanding quality, especially for a TV show from 10 years ago. I'm watching them to check for glitches and such. over two dozen hours of Brisco! :D And I'm recognizing a lot of cross-fandom actors: Jeremy Roberts (Bill Swill [Brisco], Thersites [Xena], Derkus Petronicus [Herc], Kakistos [Buffy], Huiclov De Fehrn [I-Man]), Corinna Everson (Katarina Schwenke [Brisco], Atalanta [Herc]), Adam Wylie (best known as Zachary Brock on Picket Fences, Brad Langford [Gilmore Girls]), Andrea Parker (Miss Parker [Pretender])... more later. It's fun recognizing people in earlier roles ^_^

If anyone is looking for Brisco County VCDs, check here. They are high quality from first generation tapes. Very excellent, especially when considering the storage time. Also offered are Jack of All Trades, Space: Above and Beyond, B5: Crusade, and more.

Once again, I'm going to bed at 1am. So tired all the time. Well.. at least I did laundry.

Hmm, is there any reason to get it "designed" if you already have the design and just want it fiddled with? Is the "rendering in brush strokes" not something you could do yourself on PhotoShop or whatever?

I wouldn't be able to get it as nice and smooth in Photoshop, especially not without a drawing tablet. Also, that artist specializes in calligraphy and Japanese kanji, which is what I want my tattoo to look like. Also, my design isn't finalized and they could help me out in that area, I think.

Well, I can see that -- you've got multiple reasons to consult with the guy. And $75 isn't that big an expenditure when you remember that you're dealing with a permanent artwork.

Me, I still wanna save getting my second tatt for when I finally manage to visit Australia or NZ -- but I'll have the design in hand when I go. Something from Lucky Fish Art, a dragon design, perhaps the "Dragon Wheel" or one of the designs on the third page of dragons, and then with Elvish lettering looping around it in a circle. (I had originally wanted "Dragon Bitch" but now I'm thinking that if it's in Elvish lettering I might as well go for "FyrDrakken.")

If I ever get a third tattoo I want gripping beasts around my ankle. This site has some good choices for those, too.
