Did you get that? These are SPOILERS.

Why no mood? Because "cheated" is not a mood. But I feel cheated. And also, it would be spoilery.

Nearly the worst movie ever. Basically, Ted and I sat there thinking about how they did the effects and how many texture maps they must have created, and hey that entire scene was done in Maya. God, this sucked so bad. See it for the effects, tune out most of the dialog, and you'll be okay.

Characters: beyond those we knew from the first movie, I didn't really care. Actually, I didn't care about any of the leftovers from the first movie either. Morpheus is blah and preachy. Trinity is hot, but 2-dimensional. I want Neo's coat and cool superpowers. Other than that, I don't care.

Effects: The effects were hot shit. The fight sequences were 95% blindingly obvious CG. The fight between Neo and the mass of Agent Smiths wore on a bit too long. Okay, a lot too long to the point where I turned to Ted and said, "this is getting ridiculous." The freeway scene was cool, but also verged on too much action. Also, Neo flying in a la Superman was cool the first time, maybe the second time, but by the end I didn't really care that much.

Bright spots: David Franklin! And Link. Link was really amusing and had great lines. I was actually concerned when I thought he was dead.. but it was the other ship. Then I didn't care that people died. Seraph? So effin cool.

Too much talking that didn't advance any sort of storyline. Actually, what storyline? That two and a half hour effects movie could have been cut by an hour and still make sense - and not make me feel so cheated.

Zion scenes = way over done. And the party orgy? Is that the only reason this was pushed up to an R rating? Flashy and not necessary.

The revelation about the One being a program within the program was kind of interesting - Neo's just a tool in the game. That was one part that was interesting... well, okay, the only part.

The final cut.. "To Be Concluded..." was so much worse than the end to "Fellowship of the Ring", which so many people bitched about (but I liked). It was just.. stupid. And the place where it ended was lame and lacking.

We couldn't stay to watch the trailer for "Revolutions" - it was too painful to have to sit through the credits.

OOZazbo: it was bad
Scifi 1701D: Yes. So bad

If this movie makes more money opening weekend than X2, I'm going to be one pissed off fangrrl.

Oh, it'll make more money--technically, it was open at least one full day before X2 was, so yeah, it's going to beat it.

Personally, I think the fact that Neo was all part of the program IS the storyline. How fucked up is that, especially when you consider the psychological implications for both Neo and Morpheus and the rest of the believers? That's what'll be interesting in the third movie, seeing how they deal with an impossibly construed situation.

But, as far as not liking it goes, I'm not too surprised. Like many movies, Reloaded is suffering from middle-child syndrome. :)
