Stop giving me the run around!
May. 5th, 2003 03:45 pmWent to Digital Print and after Sven's lecture, I fell asleep for about 30min. Kinda needed but now I'm more tired.
Made it to work 15 min early. I was given an assignment at 3:00pm - install Office XP in a lecturn machine on 303. Was told that I didn't need a key or a password. Um, right. Went of there and guess what? I need a key to get into the cabinet to even turn the machine on. Went back down to the Help Desk (which is in the basement). My supervisor called over to Tech Services. I had to go over there to get a key. Okay, no big deal. Get the key come back over to Schumacher, go upstairs, turn on the machine.
I check the machine for an old version of Office and wtf, it already has Office XP on it. Okay... well, maybe it needs a complete install. I go to do that.. I need Administrator rights >_< Well, okay. Fine. I try a bunch of passwords I know for other machines - no dice. Back downstairs I go. Supervisor calls Tech Services back. I get another password to try. So.. I run back up to the third floor. Tried it and variations there of. And guess what? The bugger don't work. So, fuck it. I go back downstairs, put the software away and return the key to Tech Services.
And get this - the machine isn't even our responsibility. Tech Services is supposed to install software on lecturn machines >_\) Bastards.
This woman just walked in and she has the worst teeth I've ever seen outside a British comedy skit o_O
I have that funeral home field trip today. Yay? Wednesday we have to follow a Monday schedule, so we're going to a cemetery for Anth class, as long as it doesn't rain. I thin we should go to a decrepit cemetery and fix up all the graves... but that's just me.
Got an Evanescence/Alias icon songset in mind. Yeah.
