WILLOW! ^_^ That is the name of the week. Willow!
That cliffhanger last week was killer, but what a tease. Spiking Faith's blood with.. something. Damn, I hate how the promos are so misleading. "A Slayer's soul departs" indeed. Pfft.

Wahoo! Tied up. With steel shackles. I have no idea what they pumped Faith full of, but yeah, she looks not well. (Oh.. Orpheus, mystical junk.) The slow-mo down the hall was kinda over-done, but I do love Connor's immediate reaction. He is so crushing on her.
Yeah, okay, so no idea what's going on but Faith & Angel are connected somehow. Very interesting with some cheesy flashback possibilities. Say NO to bad accents. (Okay, so we were spared the poor accents. Thank you!)
Cordy blowing up at Connor over Faith? What the hell kind of guilt trip was that? And then once she got him back on her side, she blows it off as a pregnant hormone thing and sends him back down to see Faith. I'm not sure if Charisma's acting skills are so good she can act like she's a bad actress or if she just doesn't give a rat's ass anymore, but watching Cordy is painful.
Woohoo! Murder rehab. *hee* I do love Faith. Okay, so the flashback thing is not so cheesy this time. I love Faith's side commentary and Angelus' cringing at the whole ensouled Angel thing. One thing though... we'd been led to believe on Buffy that Angel had been living in filth until Wistler found him. Well, at least, that's what I always understood. I mean, how else was an ensouled vampire with no money and no affinity for killing or being around people going to get money? And yet, his history's been rewritten on this show so now not only did he have a nice suit and a place to bathe in the 1920s, but he could afford a room at the Hyperion and hung out with the Rat Pack.
In reference to Connor wondering about the soul: OzW 703: connor, your hobag has his soul, dumbass
Yay, Willow! Fred was actually smart and called Willow 'cause Willow had resouled Angel before. And the girls are getting all nerdy and giggly. Someone stop them.
Finally, Willow saves herself with a rant. Though, would it have been smart of Evil!Cordy to kill her? Because it'd be pretty obvious who did the killing... then again, if Willow succeeded, Evil!Cordy would still be screwed.
70s Angel is painful. Make it stop! Well, now we know where "Mandy" came from...

The Willow/Wesley talk is so precious. Alexis and Aly are such a cute couple ^.^ And comparing the darkness? So amusing.
The whole drama with Angel drinking the dead donut guy? Maybe it's just me, but the guy's dead anyway and Angel's starving. I say, drink 'em, baby. But.. again, just me. It's also interesting that the pain Angel's victim feels, Faith feels. I'm not sure this is going to end well.
Connor is definitely stuck on Faith. Which is much healthier than his Cordy obsession. Because Cordy and her stupid talking crystal is annoying... with bad acting. Stupid Cordy. Willow is far more powerful. Though, there is some crazy magic fighting going on.
I've been having a yin for some Willow magic, so yay magic!
Ah ha, continuity, finally. Angel turns into dumpster man after the donut shop guy. I guess that makes.. wait, no, that still doesn't really make sense.
Does Evil!Cordy really think she can take Dark!Willow? Because that is so not going to happen. Okay, so she could have held off the mystic arrow thing a little longer if Connor hadn't busted in (giving us some funny cut-off profanity), but still. The girl almost destroyed the world! Some puny evil isn't going to stand a chance.
I thought the Orb of Thesulah was rare and stuff? Also, Willow's Latin used to be so much better. Though, yay old Romany spell!
Faith getting all friendly and stuff! Sooo cute! And nice and lovely and awww friendly!
Fred's all babbly and Willow abruptly stops her by saying "I'm seeing someone," and Fred gets all quiet! Bwahahahah! Willow also tells them that next time they want to de-soul Angel, they should call her first! *hee*
The last bit.. with Evil!Cordelia decending the staircase and announcing that evil is still afoot? That outfit is hideous, though I'm not sure I want to know why she had it to begin with. Evil!Cordy is just... ew.

Willow: Ultimate Evil.
Faith: You kiss your mama with that mouth?

Okay, guys, this is making me twitch--
Date: 2003-03-20 12:12 am (UTC)Loved the quotes, though. Saved the quotes. And, after enduring MUCH too much war craziness, KLTA in Cali finally cut off everything and said, you know what, we're gonna give you Angel, okay? Oh, thank GODS...So I got to see the whole thing, yay.
And may I just say...teaser for next week showed NOTHING! NOTHING! JOSS YOU BASTARD! That wasn't a teaser, that was a...a...PHOTO CLIP! Damn it...
And yes, I can lift that big anvil of disbelief on this one--Angel never said he was poor. Angel has always been a miser, so he knows how to invest. But after Donut Shop Guy, he just fell into despair, and became a homeless rat-eating geezer, hoping that nonexistance would be better than feeling guilt. And Whistler came along, and grabbed him up--just like he did with Faith--and said, hey, bub, redemption is harder than that, get your ass back up here and fight. Yeah. I liked that bit.
I also liked all the little references...the tipping of Fred's chin...the dodging of Willow's bi status when she'd just admitted to the guy that she flayed Warren...Lorne singing a song that then just happened to be playing on the jukebox in the donut shop...And the priceless moment of Angelus beating the crap out of Angel for the Manilow concerts--concerts, plural, he dragged The Demon Within to go see. Lovely. Just lovely.
But yeah, I might just have to gouge out my eyes if I see Cordelia in that outfit again. Agh.
