100 Days...
Feb. 7th, 2003 12:14 amJust got back from the 100 Days Til Graduation party. Didn't eat or drink, but stood around and watched the drunken chaos. It wasn't too packed, thankfully - the list was capped somewhere around 150 and I think only 100 showed up. It was weird seeing a mass of people I didn't even know, but was graduating with. Eventually, I did spot a few people I knew - Trisha M. & Dominique whom I both lived with my first year on campus; Christine; Ted; Drew, who I met through Claire freshman year; Crazy Batty Girl; and Milton... who for some reason wants to recontract me to finish the Red Dragon Records logo I started two years ago for $70. Think I may finally install Illustrator and take the job. Not exactly sure where I put the logo I designed though...
The bouncer tonight was uncharacteristically nice. I think Chardo seriously amused him. He and the bartender both complimented me on the bone carvings I wear. The bartender started to get into this convo with me about a friend he has who does bone carvings and how he'd wanted to visit New Zealand before LoTR came out, but now he doesn't because it would ruin his experience of the film. I told him he wouldn't even be able to see some of the grande scenery (like Rohan), but everything else is great, but he told me that he's got the landscape etched in his mind. Ha! Even still... he would have been cool to continue to talk to, but being a bartender, he had to.. tend the bar. Was contemplating slipping him a business card so I could get a commission from his friend.
I smell like icky smoke... but too lazy to take a shower. Hrm.
Time to burn a few CDs, have a snack and get to bed. Oooh.. Daily Show at 1am.
