Sounds like this was a morning for StrangeSquirrelSightings... though yours is a bit more odd than mine.
I was walking across campus to work, and saw a squirrel trying to get a fallen acorn - but it was still attached to the twig and two leaves the fell with it. The squirrel kept shaking it and pushing at the twig with its paws, acorn in its mouth.
