Been lazy-girl all day. I thought I would be fine when school was over, but I am actually more tired now than I was two days ago. Did actually get to set up my computer in my room. ::pets lcd screen::

Watched the Charmed season finale. This show is so convoluted. I love it. *g* Oh! And Bruce Campbell guest-starred as a witch hunter. Very cool. I heart Bruce. I also heart Julian McMahon, but this whole Cole thing is getting ridiculous. Can he just stay dead, please??

And in strangely satisfying news... Dark Angel has been cancelled ::ducks Sez:: and is to be replaced by Joss Whedon's Firefly. Via Gist.com:

James Cameron may claim he's King of the World, but that hasn't stopped Fox from dumping the "Titanic" director's "Dark Angel." As expected, the network has dropped the low-rated sci-fi action series starring Jessica Alba, according to Variety. Alba, who plays a human prototype created to battle an oppressive regime, became a star when the show debuted two seasons ago, but even though the series became a cult favorite, the ratings dipped so much that it was ranked No. 125 among primetime shows this season. Fox plans on filling the show's 9 p.m. ET Friday spot with "Firefly," a "space Western" by Joss Whedon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), Variety reports.

Now the Jossman has shows on three seperate (but connected) networks. >_<

My TV schedule just keeps getting more and more screwed. Though... 9pm Friday nights is just SG-1's 6th season, so I guess I'll get over it. *shrug*

I know, I know.. but it's getting really silly. He's a demon, then he's good, then he's vanquished, then he's back, then he's human, then he's really bad, then he's dead, then he's alive... ARGH. He's got more lives than the Slayer.

Huh. But, still extra-yummy, right? Cos, shallow as I am, I think that could possibly console me enough to endure the plot-weirdness. Hey, it worked with Spike....

Just don't tell me how he got dead, btw - I'd wondered if they might have to kill him off after he became the source, but we haven't got anywhere near that yet. *g* The eps I saw today were
1) The season 3 ep where Cole comes back a couple of months after Phoebe was sposed to have vanquished him, and Prue gets married off to a warlock and the sister go evil for a bit.
2) The season 4 ep where Cole gives Phoebe her Grandma's ring and it turns her into Mrs 50's Housewife / Samantha from Bewitched, and they have to protect a little boy who's a firestarter.

*pokes TV* Damnit, if we can be only 2 days behind on Buffy eps, why can't we get Alias and Charmed a bit quicker?! Tcha.

I think I missed that season 4 episode. It might have been aired while I was in Taiwan and my brother was taping things for me and getting the channels and the times all wrong...

-.-; Too hard for him to figure out to set the time proper and also check to make sure the tape speed is set to EP, not SP and that the right channel was there...In all fairness, he was using my TV and I forgot to show him how to program it proper.

As the *ahem* only person to ask me a question, I'll try to give you a really good answer.

Which one event in your life has been the most major turning point, and how has it affected you?

If you were to ask me that question last year, I would have said my first year at university, because I learned to be more self-sufficient and to share living space with my peers. If I had answered this yesterday, I probably would have said my trip to Taiwan because I made my first international flight on my own and spent nearly a month in a place where no one spoke English. But today, I say university as a whole. And, okay, it's not really one event, but it's one stage in my life. After three years there, away from my father and making all types of friends, I've learned that he's "all hat and no cat," he just likes making noise and is the biggest coward there is. And I don't have to take it. It's not going to affect my life anymore and he's not going to make me cry or feel depressed every time he yells. Sure, I'll be angry and I'll still want to kill him, but it's like watching angry people on tv - eventually it just gets stupidly funny. If I hadn't gone away to school and stayed home like he suggested, I'm not so sure I would be as outspoken as I am today. I think it may have eventually caught up with me, but being away and not having to deal with it has given me a new outlook - I don't have to just sit back and let things make me miserable. I can either do something about it, or just ignore it and not let it bother me. Just gotta figure out which I want.

Woohoo - thanks for the answer, and woohoo again. :-) That's brilliant to hear - guess distance and a different environment can really help with putting perspective on things. And family matters are hard to get perspective on, cos they're so, well, close to home. *g* *hugshugshugs*
