Can I just say...
May. 4th, 2002 10:32 pmSpider-Man just gets better the second time around. This movie seriously kicks ass and I need to see it again. NOW.
Eh.. though next time I will be avoiding the annoying white-trash theaters like this one which was packed with really slow people... I think they were about 30 minutes behind each joke as many people spontaneously laughed at inappropriate times. Though... the guy who shouted, "Kill her!" at the end was pretty funny.
Um.. should go watch Close Encounters now.. Uh... yeah.
More hilarity from the rooftop: "Go, web, go!" and "Fly web!" You can't forget the wrist action. Gotta love Sam Raimi's sense of humor.
Danny Elfman's score rocks. Wish there was another CD of just score.. but the one that is out will have to do. The CG shots were pretty good, though there were a few where the model was a bit obvious. Oh well.. it still rocked.
Peter was working for Dr. Connors.. until he gets fired for being late. The name sounded familiar yesterday, but I realized today that Dr. Connors turns into the Lizard. Scary guy. Would love to see him or Vemon in the next movie, but they're probably going to do something with Harry Osborn.
Oh, the scene where Spidey saves MJ from the muggers. Okay, dude, I understand the girl of your dreams just kissed you, and you have to be all cool and disappear, but how are you going ot let her just walk home by herself?! What kind of hero does that? Pfft.
After a bit of research I found out (well.. remembered really) that Gwen Stacy was involved in the whole Green Goblin/sadistic choice debacle. They probably didn't use her because no one except the old school fans know who the hell she is. I barely recalled something about her, but thought it was maybe an AU or something. Anyway... still pissed about MJ's lines rhyming ("the only who was there for me... want to be... something-something me.") And.. strangely happy that Peter is keeping her at a distance. The hero doesn't always need to get the girl. *snerk* It leaves him open for rabid fangirls.

A couple of thoughts
Date: 2002-05-08 06:34 am (UTC)And it wasn't until yesterday that the familiar face in the _Daily Bugle_ office and the name Raimi clicked and I realized that was Joxer...
