Hopped on IRC to get some episodes and stuff today and two ops asked me to serve X-Men: Evolution episodes on their channels. Wow. Had to learn my way around Syris, which is a tiny bit different from mIRC and then how to do an fserve and all that. Thanks to PROF_XAVIER for showing me the basics. So, yup, I'm an fserve on DALnet now. (Sez: switching to the nick amezri) I'm a felon. Hahahah
Also finally posted something at the RP. Took me frelling long enough, huh girls? Not really quality work, but it's something.
Okay, off to work on my design project before watching UC: Undercover and Alias tonight.

And so you already use dalnet...I forgot to tell you the anime channel names I got most of my stuff on. @_@
animempeg
animedivx
anime-divx
animemovies
animebaka
anime-movies
anime-empire
animehq
there were a few more, but I forget their names...if you do a channel search tho with 'anime' as the string they all come up...theyre the big ones at the top. I have them listed on my compy at home, so next time I visit I'll grab them.

Date: 2001-10-22 05:50 am (UTC)I started to download some eps off you but... the unthinkable happened... I FINALLY got connected to that frelling FTP server that held the UC eps!! ::happy dance:: So, to free up the bandwidth, I had to cancel the transfers. Once these UC eps are done though, I'll probably resume them. :)
Thanks tonne, dude! I was missing 1.05 and anything after 1.10 :)
Sez
looking forward to UC and X-Men Evo

Date: 2001-10-22 07:02 am (UTC)I was wondering what that cancelled transfer was about :) But I totally understand. I'll be getting the season 2 episodes soon, too.

Re:
Date: 2001-10-22 03:40 pm (UTC)IRC = Internet Relay Channel. I think. Anyway, it's like the old fashioned way of chatting (in rooms/channels) and getting *ahem* downloads. It's where I get my downloaded episodes and stuff from.
Ops = Operators/moderators. They manage the channels/rooms
mIRC, Syris MIRC = types of software to log onto IRC. Um... I guess you can think of it like AOL vs Compuserve or something. Both softwares allow you to access the internet, and the different IRC softwares allow you to access the different servers.
fserve = file serve. fserves are the people who are providing files for download
DALnet = that's the server I'm on. Like.. you're on OL, versus me being on my school server.
Hope that.. makes sense. LOL. I explain that right, Sez?
