qm's bday; saturday; sunday
Nov. 12th, 2006 11:57 pmBusy, busy weekend! And I totally didn't mean for it to be. Having a social calendar is weird. I haven't been able to read anyone's LJ in the last two week, so I'm sorry if I've messed anything :( Drop me a comment if there is anything I should know about.
Friday, we had a surprise party for
queenmaab. Her sister, husband, and friend did a lot of the planning -- I just showed up with a few decorations, a pinata, and some dumb toys to fill it with. I think it went off well. She looked pretty surprised when she came in! XD It was a good time and I had fun talking with some her friends that I had met at the Halloween party, but didn't really get to talk to much. Found out Jim & Mary are Farscape fans! :D Totally cool. And Jim watches BSG. Nice.
Saturday, I spent most of the morning raking leaves with my mom. Blech. I hate raking. At least it wasn't too cold outside. Headed to
katkel and
sweetwildandmad's for a board game party. It was pretty fun. I played Trivial Pursuit (the 90s Edition), Sequence (would play it again), and Scrabble (omg my brain). There was also a game of Settlers going on, which I've never played before, but all I could hear was people shouting for mud, rocks, and sheep. Was a lot of fun though :)
Today, I went looking for some floor lamps with my mom before heading to
queenmaab's for a craft day. Yay, craft day! I sewed up a cube dog toy out of extra fleece before starting on some site work. Uh. Except I didn't really do much there. Did manage to get a gallery set up for
queenmaab with a cool layout that was easy to set up with a rotating header. Sweeet. I also managed to upload some old photos I had on picture CD. WOW do I not know how to use a film camera... so sad. It's either that, or they had no clue how to scan film properly. Meh. Anyway... photos.
I made QM watch Stargate SG-1 so she could see the corset Vala wears in "Avalon," and then we watched about 8 episodes of Wonderfalls. Which I think she liked way more than SG-1 XD (ETA: And while I was watching, I was thinking about how much the music sounded like stuff from "Nothing," and... having just checked IMDB, Michael Andrews also scored "Nothing." Ha!)
Farscape Convention 2002 in Brooklyn, NY. This is where I met
ozw for the first time. Of the three rolls of film I took, only 24 were even remotely good enough to post. Ugh. (con report)

And some from when I was at Oneonta. There are a few from Halloween 2002, too.
