dlm; eureka; queer eye

I have had an interesting evening. Not bad, just not what was planned XD But everything worked out, so that's good.

Caught the tail end of Dead Like Me on SciFi, then most of the pilot of Eureka. It is so very painfully Canadian and I love it. ( Let's just do a name check, shall we? )

With that cast list, how can I not like this show?! The writing is also pretty good and the characters are snarky and interesting.

Also caught the new Queer Eye with the SCA people. OMG. I do not know any of them, but I'm sure I know people who do as it was the group from Long Island. It's possible that some of them were even at I-CON. Heh. It was pretty amusing. And even though they mocked the poor guy, at least Thom decorated his place in a way that matches his whole medieval theme.

Okay, it is really past my bed time now.

Work was all right. I'm just constantly tired and mildly bored there.

After work today, I went to Joann's to look for some things.. didn't find anything... so then went to Target to get a facial cleanser... and ended up with $10 with of snack foods. *facepalm* You think I was mamybe a little hungry when I was shopping? :-P

This morning, I was skimming the LJ and saw the link fyrdrakken had posted to an argyl sock squid at etsy. Of course then on the side bar I saw the pretty pink princess Cthulhu... which I want to learn how to make becayse omg adorkable. From there I went on this whole dig through the site (consequently ending up late for work) and learning about amigurumi... and finding patterns. Oh, yeah, I have another craft project to add to the pile. Uh huh.

Omg. thebigfatman! Check out this Grumie amigurumi! It's so wee and cute! And monkeys! This bunny is sort of cute but the green color makes it look creeptastic...

Kevin Smith Confronts Joel Siegel

7/19/2006 - First let me say that if you aren't a fan of Clerks or Kevin Smith then this audio wont interest you. But if you are you may have heard that Good Morning America's film reviewer Joel Siegel stormed out of a screening of Clerks 2 yelling obscenities and generally being a nuisance. This morning Smith got to confront Siegel on the Opie & Anthony and pretty much makes him look like a fool.

I love the part where one of the guys said, "that's newbie first year hack behavior."

And... "Don't Bill O'Reilly me."
