Sep. 19th, 2005 11:45 pmWork was a drag. Boss didn't even show up, but I did what I needed to and I booked ass. Still ended up staying for 5 hours. Boss never scheduled me for tomorrow and... that's too bad because I'm not going. I'm staying home and working on sites. You can't honestly call me in the morning and expect me to be all ready to go in, can you? Well... erm. I guess she will expect that, but no! I am not going to be that person anymore. Nope.
Came home and discovered fun stuff in the mail - my fuzzy poi (yay!!) and three imps :D I tried Spellbound and I absolutely love it. It reminds me of new ages stores, which I love. I can totally see myself getting a bottle of this. Ultraviolet is probably too powdery for me. Will try it again before I really decide to put it in the swap box. You know. When my boxes actually show up.
After dinner, mom had me install the two new shower heads she bought. It was pretty easy. And they don't leak! Go me! I'm sure I used enough teflon tape. Heh.
Was able to do some site work today and the only I got mostly done is my BPAL one. I'm a dork. But it was the easiest of the three as I wasn't in the state of mind to deal with scripts and the third one doesn't even have a layout I like yet.
I'm short uh... 5 reviews, but I'll work on them over the next few days. I really like the soft design and when did I become a person who liked pinks and purples? *shrug* Oh well. Also, I seriously have to stop looking at imps to buy - at least for a little while. My paypal (and bank account) are crying.
Watched some episodes of Stargate Atlantis while I was working. Season 1 McKay is a fair bit different than the McKay we have now. Both are awesome, but current McKay is a bit more fit and less.. hmm... abrasive? He's learned to be more social. He adapted himself into the team dynamic fairly quickly (necessary in a tv timeline, I suppose) - in "Suspicion," Rodney is the one who immediately wants to go back through the Gate to get Ford & Teyla. John's hurt, Rodney could get killed by a Wraith, but he needs to go back to save his teammates. I love him.
And Shep. Have I mentioned that I love Sheppard? Because I do. The slcaker boyfriend flyboy who hides his intelligence behind that aloof smile. I adore him. Guh. "Thirty-Eight Minutes" was a fantastic episode for Joe (who admittedly didn't get how a big plastic bug and him lying on the ground all day could be interesting) who got to do some really excellent erm.. fake-bug-on-neck acting. Seriously, we learned a lot about Sheppard: his first concern is for his team. Big bug on his neck? Yeah, whatever - Teyla how are you? He is not afraid to die - in fact, I still sometimes wonder if the man has any sense of mortality. Eesh.
Also? My To Be Read list of SGA fic is growing. Gah.

devildoll - 6 more episodes going out to you in tomorrow's mail :) Hopefully you'll get them by the end of the week because 1.11 and 1.12 are the best Action!Sheppard episodes. I'll send the remaining 8 in a day or two so you can watch the rest soon after.
