laptop babble
Jun. 18th, 2005 09:37 amI am insane. I won't spend $150 on a new MP3 player, but I'm willing to throw down $700 on a laptop -- when I really need a desktop. Reading a ton of reviews so I can pick just the right one and all of them in my price range say the hard drive is slow, needs more RAM, not for gaming, blah blah when I realize that my current desktop can't game, needs more RAM, needs a new motherboard and processor.... so.. you know, what am I worrying about? I just need a nice hard drive size and 40GB is okay right now -- that's what I have in my desktop anyway and it's filled with crap that won't be filling the notebook.
The model I'm looking at right now is the Acer Aspire 3002LCi. It's on sael at Circuit City, but NewEgg.com has one for about the same price if they're out. The drive is apparently partitioned funny, so I'm probably going to have my brother wipe it and put XP Pro on it if we can find the disk >_< Although, I don't know if the partition will bother me that much anyway.
Will probably spend today wandering electronics stores and having a look at the shiny machines.
