i-con; help
Apr. 10th, 2005 11:01 pmAm home from I-CON 24! It was way fun. Much more fun that I had last year and this year I did stuff! I will have a more complete write up later, but let me sum up: Met Zippy & Dion from SG-Command.net. Voltaire is pervvy. Like, a lot. And his new Star Wars parody scares me. Jewel Staite is the cutest thing ever! And her favorite TV show is Lost! omg. Alexis Cruz is CUTE! And he's a LARPer. And he remembered my name! XD Two days in a row! Tony Amendola signed something for me. Jason Carter signed an 8x10 and took a photo with me. Rockne signed my PKW DVD. I might be in the NY Times.
That last one? Zippy got tapped to round up some people in costume to be interviewed by the NY Times and to have our photos taken. I think they were lacking people, because Zippy asked me if I wanted to go with them. I don't think my little SG outfit was all that spectacular, especially since the photographer started asking if we had weapons to wave them about. Also, the reporter was a stupid woman who didn't know that a Storm Trooper is from Star Wars. How do you send someone who doesn't even know that basic fact to cover a scifi con? Eesh. Anyway...
Does anyone on my flist read the NY Times or can get me a copy of the Sunday NY Times? I think we might be in it, but I don't have a clue where. In fact, if you have a copy and could look through it, that would rock. I know the thing is huge, but it would be cool to know I was in the NYTimes.because joe flanigan reads the times every day so he might have seen my picture in it omg

It's time for bed. Have to get up early tomorrow to go get the dogs from the hospital where we had them boarded for the weekend. I'll slowly make my way through the flist in the next few days. Link me if there's anything important I should know.
EDIT: Why the hell is astrumignis getting 2000+ hits/month from fwooshnet.com?! I don't get it.
