stony brook day trip
Oct. 3rd, 2004 08:30 pmLongest trip evar. ohemgee.
It wouldn't have been so bad, if it weren't for the following:
a) my father wanting us to pick him up (I refused)
b) my father meeting us at Stony Brook (that couldn't be helped)
c) my father complaining that a $40 food bill for four people at the diner was outrageous
d) my father complaining that my brother isn't independant enough and that my mother shouldn't need to visit him - she saw him a month ago (to which I answer: he didn't need to come)
e) my father speeding away in his car, calling me twice because he's stuck in traffic and clearly bored
f) asking my father, when he gets home (since he's a speed demon), if he could please let the dog out. He responds with "out where?" *facepalm* She hasn't been out all day - where to you think, you moron?
g) my father falling asleep at a rest stop - with his lights on. unfortunately, we chose to stop at the same rest stop so the dog we brought with us could go out. my mother, being the person she is, woke him up to tell him about his lights and - surprise - the battery was dead. the first thing he thought about? food. He as hungry and couldn't be bothered with the car.
h) my father avoiding returning home before us at all costs so he wouldn't have to let the dog out
Right now, the neighbors are over. I'm hungry. Need food.
Tomorrow, I have to call the airport about the job I applied for, call this casting place that's looking for extras in the Albany area, and wait for the cable guy to come look at our line so my internet connection will stop sucking. Also going to work on my artbook and possibly a mix CD containing current and future reccs I have in mind for Tomination.
I want to go to the Sean Astin signing at the Boston MoS, but people are being so wishy-washy, I doubt there will be any tickets left by the time they decide.
queenmaab - so.. it looks like I have October 9th free... are you still free to go to Saratoga? Do you want to go to Saratoga? Totally up to you, but yeah.. I'm free.
