Was asked to stay a couple extra hours at work today. Can't really say no. But it turned out to be a good thing because not only did Manager B appreciate my staying and not be snooty with me, but I found out that Maura's been a Viggo fan since "Indian Runner" and is not in the least bit fangirly. I gave her my SN, so hopefully we'll chat later. She told me that one of the girls who works with us went to school with Viggo -- but I think it was University, so that sort of doesn't count.

I saw the greatest book and only one of you will understand why it's so funny: Everything Tastes Better With Bacon. LiekOMG!

Hey.. you can watch the Oscars live at the Embassy Theater in Wellington. Weird. The sad thing is that, were I there, I probably would go.

KERRY FLIPS ON GAY NUPS

DOMA lets one state refuse to recognize a gay marriage performed elsewhere and in 1996, Kerry said it's "unconstitutional" - because every state is legally required to recognize marriages from all other states.

Last night Kerry flip-flopped and said, "No state has to recognize something that is against their public policy," suggesting the basic principle in DOMA is correct.

.....

Kerry's chief Democratic rival, John Edwards, disagreed and pointedly said: "I would not support the DOMA today if there were a vote today."

They keep this up and I might have to vote for the guy who announced his candidacy on the Daily Show.
