Got woken up at the crack of dawn by my mother, who wanted to use the computer in my room. Then the dog came in and started running around. Yay. Had a shower and went to the post office. (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
hathien! Keep an eye out for a package in the next, erm, two weeks ^_^*) I bought some stamps so I could send out those Velvet Chain promotional mailings. Which reminds me: Anyone who wants promotional things for the new Velvet Chain album, just send me your address.
We had a bit of time before we had to meet someone for lunch, so mom and I went in to Kohl's. Dude. That store has really nice watches. And pants. And shinyyy! So, uh huh, I spent $20 on leather bands and came back after lunch to pick up a new watch. I got this model. Very cool. Though I still do like the Fossil one with the date feature. *cough*
Mets mom's friends for lunch. The food was iffy. Her friend's boyfriend was a bit... not funny. Was glad to go.. and buy that watch XD Except first we stopped at Gamestop where I found my Marvel Legends Gambit figure! :D I've been looking for that thing for ages! And I am going to bust it out of the plastic because I really have very little reason to keep it in there. The paint job could be better, but 38 points of articulation! I love detailed action figures and this one really looks like comic Remy, as opposed to this.. plastic thing that most of them end up being. I was chuffed, dude.
Earlier in the day I had dropped off 14 rolls of film for 1 hour processing. I pretty much knew they weren't going to be done and told the guy that there was no rush and he could take his time. He seemd to think that he could do it as he casually told me he could process 6 rolls an hour and I should call back at 4pm (it was about noon then). Oooookay. 4pm rolls around, we're back at Kohl's and I'm calling. There's no answer, so we just decide to go there. He's not done. He seems a bit sheepish about it and asks if I could come back tomorrow around noon. Sure, dude, I knew you wouldn't be done anyway. I'm getting singles, photo cds, and color negative index prints. That's going to cost me about $140 -_-;; but I think it's going to be worth it - my last big expense of the trip.
Went to Joe & Merril-Lee's (friends of the family) for dinner. Excellent as always. Wish I ate more, but *shrug* I wasn't too hungry. There was talk about my New Zealand trip and Joe looked really interested in New Zealand. I think he wants to go XD
Think I might make another icon or two before I go to bed.
Oh, wait! While I was at Kohl's I ran into an old high school friend - Carrie L. - who's now working there. So, yay :) I hadn't seen here in a while and at first she didn't recognize me because she says I look different now. But yeah, it was cool. I will have to IM her some time.
Hrm. I need to move my hostpc sites to the new servers they're setting up. Oh well... next week.
