Dead Like Me

Just finished watching the pilot episode of Dead Like Me. Great writing, very witty. Excellent cast - Ellen Muth, Mandy Patinkin, and of course you've gotta love Callum Blue and that accent. *hee* Anywho, excellent show and as long as there are torrents for it, I will be happy. DVD set will be a must have.

In other news, ghanacrafts guy called to say check will be int he mail tomorrow, changes by Wednesday (uh huh...) and he wants to use the e-mail that came with his domain. So I have to set that up and e-mail him the url for the webmail thing. Also... he wants another site. I don't really want to, but I'm freakin' broke right now and I'd probably need the money. *sigh*

Probably going to read some fanfic now... er, actually, have to work on a few graphic and wallpaper things. And I again missed the deadline for i_contest >_< Bah.

Job! Me jobby job. Want job!

I got a call from Barnes & Noble about an interview! 4:30 tomorrow. Woohoo! I just have to drive myself o_O But I think I can do it ^_^** Might have mom go with me today once. 'Cause I don't wanna screw up tomorrow. Oy. May go early and mull around the store just to make sure I'm on time. Erm... the only problems I am having is that I have jury duty July 21 to whenever I'm dismissed (though fyrdrakken assures me that bias & opinioned people usually get kicked) and the big NZ trip for all of December - which is arguable any stores busiest time. I suppose I'll just have to be honest and tell the woman that I'd really like the job, but I'm not cancelling those two things. One could get me thrown in jail and the other has been in the works for the last year. So, yeah.

I told my father I had the interview and he says, "Is that what you're going to do?" "Not.. forever," I sneer. He laughs and asks why I want to work there. I tell him because I need a job. "Nah," he goes. "You don't need a job."

... you know, just becaue you're a lazy bastard doesn't mean I can't get a job and save up money. He then has the gall to tell me that I should be careful and not buy garbage because he bought garbage and look where he is. I fail to see the correlation between him and his ugly suits from eBay and my earning money so I can pay off my loans. He says he just doesn't want me to make the same mistake. I say, "I'm not retarded. I know how to manage money." He scowled, I'm sure, mumbling something about, "okay, then," and walked off. Wanker.

Oh. If he makes another soup/porridge dish I'm going to puke it up. Have teeth. Need solid food.

Hrm. Anyway. Off to shower and get dressed. Have a few errands and such later. Brother wants me to install Half-Life.

I knew. I knew he would do it. He made fucking soup for lunch. At least it tasted okay. If I had to have another bowl of runny, tasteless soup, I'd have screamed. If there's another mushy dish for dinner, I'm getting up and leaving the table.

On the way to the vet, he told me he was going to pay for my loans. You know, I don't want him to pay for my loans because then I'm going to feel like I owe him. I don't want to have to owe him anything. Glargh. On the plus side, the dog is okay and the vet assistant was cool. *smirk*

Am home now, waiting for some things to transfer so I can restart my blasted machine and try to burn some more CDs to clean out my drives. Also waiting for mom to come home to take her to the car rental place and then we can practice driving to Barnes & Noble so I don't kill anyone tomorrow. Yay.

It was worth the price, I think. Also got a giant box from Phil with a dragon candle holder inside. Um.. that is going to need some repair. *hmms*

Bid on some more stuff on eBay. Yes, yes, I am an eBay!whore. Hopefully will score the DNA2 Box Set and the GTO Box Set. The only thing about GTO is the shipping alone will cost me $12. Oh well.

Was talking to hathien about various things. Somehow I ended up deciding to upload an MP3 of the program voice mail C2 left ages ago. Mmkay, basically to help out, I told C2 and trippininabox I would do a reiki info session and do a few treatments. He left this really wacky message for the whole building. It's a bit over 700kb, so be warned.

After mom got back from work, we drove to Enterprise to get her rental car. She got a spiffy Mitsubishi .. uh.. Endeavor? Something. It's cool though - looks like a spacecraft inside ^_^ Anway, got back home with a er, minor incident at a stop light (I could have kept going instead of trying to stop 2 feet from the stop line while going 40mph...). Left again so I could practice driving to B&N for tomorrow. Just gotta keep telling myself I can do it and that I won't die in a firey car crash o_O

Hm. Gonna faff around. Maybe do some stuff...
