I survived the trip to Texas. Huzzah! Yesterday was tough, since I hadn't slept in about 36 hours. I kept nodding off and stuff. Will and I met Jake & Ryan at the hotel and we went to the convention center to register for Siggraph around 4:00pm. It was fairly painless. Scored some free Siggraph posters and books and bought a Siggraph DVD. $60. Ugh. But it's got some really cool ads on it - like those mythological Thermasilk ads. Screencaps will definitely be ripped.

Afterwards we went to a BBQ place and had dinner. The waiter was so slow. And he forgot my Sprite after visiting the table twice. Let's just say that he wasn't getting the standard tip. We walked around the Riverwalk area a bit then headed back to the hotel. Free cable. Very cool. Watched Austin Powers and an episode of Buffy ("The Wish") and finally went to bed.

Woke up in time to catch the end of breakfast today. Bagels and juice. Yum? My cousin and I just kinda hung out in the room until about 1:00pm, when we decided that maybe we should go check out Siggraph, since we paid for it and all. There will be some cool companies here on Tuesday for the exhibition, including Blizzard, SGI, ILM, and NVIDIA. My goal is to score as much free stuff as possible. I'll try to bring some stuff back to give away ^_^ Obviously, we found the Internet Access Center. The PC half of the room is all full and the Mac side is virtually empty. ahh... it's good to have a T3 connection again.
