Wheee!

Just got back from the excursion to NYC. I am totally knackered and ready to crash, but first... some highlights.

The bus driver decided to take the scenic route, which he claimed was faster. Seeing as how he was going 30 as opposed to the 65 allowed on the interstate, I don't see how that was possible. We got there and Annalisa and I followed Thomas around the Met. It was fun - he was like our own tour guide. *g* The Egyptian and Chinese exhibits were cool. I took some pictures of stuff. I actually recognized some of the mythological references. Go me!

After the museum, we bought some pretzels. Thomas went off to the Whitney Museum, which in hindsight I probably should have gone to, but oh well. We went shopping instead and that was fun. We spent tons of time at FAO Schwartz, where I bought mom a b-day gift, some chococat and hello kitty stationary, and a scarf.. as if I need another of those. Oh, and they were selling Aibo! I want an Aibo! With software v2.0, you can get Aibo to speak English. It's so cool. I got pictures.

We wandered around Manhattan for quiet awhile. Dinner was to be fuond at Heartland Brewery, where our waiter was this really cool guy with an accent. $17 was a bit more than I wanted to pay for a cheeseburger, but we were in Manhattan so that's to be expected. On the way back to the museum, we got a bit turned around and somehow ended up at Columbus Circle, which was far from where we needed to be. I called my father, but that was a disaster and no help, but some nice people on the street gave us directions. It was cool. New Yorkers are so nice ^_^ Anywho, we made it back safe and sound.

I must have been really tired, because during the rest stop on the way back, I was just being a spaz. It was kind of fun. I miss having friends around who you can just beat up :oP Well, it was fun until I realize I had lost an earring. Not that I was really that distraught -- it was cold,. I was tired, it was ridiculous to search a parking lot full of shiny things for it, and they are cheap earrings and losing one pretty much just means that I should go buy a new pair. So, I have permission from the Goddess to make a purchase. Either that or she's telling me to drop the tacky pentagram earrings. Hmm....

Er.. going to bed now. Throughly exhausted and I will (hopefully) be spending tomorrow at the art building painting my ass off.

gah

I just woke up. And we have to push the clocks forward an hour so it's already 1pm. About to head to the Art building and work on a painting, though. That should be.. productive. More productive than I've been for a long while in that class...

And I didn't cheat on this... don't think I could have...
