dollhouse 1.11 response

amezriOMG. I haven't really written about Dollhouse at all on my LJ, but I have really been enjoying the show and try to watch live when I can. Fox, of course, is expected to not renew the show, which is such crap because there is just so more to see! Only one more episode is airing this season, but 1.13 should be on the DVD.
HOLY CRAP. ALPHA. I have been avoiding spoilers for the show, but stumbled across the Alan-Tudyk-is-Alpha ones months ago. I kind of refused to believe it, mostly because I was trying to stay unspoiled.
Well, as up 1.11, it's true - Alan is Alpha. Damn. SO CRAZY. It was really great to see him at the start of the episode as the nerdy, geeky guy. Really reminded me of Wash and Alan just plays those characters well. But, wow. Once he switched to Alpha mode, I was FRIGHTENED. He was really, really scary and I don't think I've ever seen Alan in a villain role. Just... damn. And then the fact that he back to the Dollhouse to get out... whatever personality of Echo's he wanted out running around with him. Holy frak.

ALSO. OMG. Poor Victor! ;_; He's definitely been one of my favorite dolls/actives.
Paul Ballard? Okay, Tahmoh, I totally love you, but as much as I really want to like Ballard, he's kind of dumb. I mean, sure, you'll get Caroline out, but she's obviously not Caroline -- she's a blank doll. How exactly are you going to fix that? Pick up a chair at Walmart? Ugh.
HOW DO WE ONLY GET ONE MORE?? When do those DVDs come out? Because I really want to watch them all again WITH episode 13. The promos show everyone geared up to kick some ass AND Felicia Day is in it.

Date: 2009-05-11 07:19 pm (UTC)of course, he has now imbued me with a fear of stairs w/o risers. i always avoided them before, they made me uncomfortable, but now that he's given WORDS and DEFINITIONS to the whys and wherefores, i believe it is a legit fear.
also, re: the last ep, i have a Topher theory. it's crazy and kinda out there, but K says it has possibility...
