South Dakota banned abortion on Monday. I'm neither for nor against abortion, but I think the laws should be in place to keep the procedure safe. Just because you ban it, doesn't mean it's not going to happen. What will probably happen now is that people will skip to another state or try their hand at home abortions and risk permanent damage. Way to go, South Dakota. For a more eloquent discussion the topic, see this post by

Glargh! Project Runway finale last night. Dude. Chloe?! I didn't like her line at all. I mean, some of the designs were good and I do like her seams, but there was just... something missing. They probably just liked the fact that she's a business person. I actually didn't like Daniel V's line all that much. Some of the pieces were kinda cool, but overall.... I really liked Santino's line :x I still think he's an asshole, but he's got a certain vision that I dig.
VH1 has a new "I Love..." series -- I Love Toys. When are these coming out on DVD? Because I would so be there. I'll have to catch up on the weekend when they show all the episodes a bajillion times.
Following Project Runway, I watched When Star Wars Ruled the World again. It's amusing to hear what the actors have to say after all these years. Mark Hamill is still such a fanboy geek. Kevin Smith's commentary always makes me laugh. ("And like a pimp, he just says, 'I know.'" XD)
Riddick 2 is in the works. Uhm. Okay, I thought the Chronicles of Riddick was shiny and I appreciated the Alexa Davalos and Karl Urban, but... we really don't need another. Really.
It's true: Battlestar Galactica won't return to SciFi until October 2006. Dude. October?! What happened to the summer of SciFi? Methinks Sciffy is trying to compete with other networks for ratings.
It's past time for me to get ready to go to the job, so... fic for me to read later:

Date: 2006-03-10 10:27 am (UTC)and i LOVE that vh1 star wars special. i <3 mark hamill. and kevin smith, is, as always, a mecca for my geekery. did you ever see the episode of, i think it was will & grace, or anyway, it was one of those peppy-fun-comedy shows on nbc, that guested mark hamill? with the hairbrush-as-lightsaber and freakin' out in the bathroom? oh it was funny. i'm like "dear mark hamill, thank you for accepting your uberfame, and having fun with it. and for not being a i-want-to-pretend-this-movie-didn't-happen jerk like most of the cast of RHPS."
