Unfortunately, it seems all three shows have a strict OVER 21 policy. I've gotten no answer from the venue about how that could be circumvented. They've ignored all my e-mails and phone calls.

ignited & evemac - I feel really bad about not being able to get you in :-/ Eve - I've made arrangements to stay with alorarose on LI, 'cause I'd feel like an asshat even thinking about crashing at your place if you can't even go to the show.

I've bought tickets for all three shows already. ozw and alorarose are coming with. Who else is joining the crew?

Edit: theetherealdawn will be at the Feb 22nd show! Yay!

I'm trying very hard to go, but my friend and I are still deciding if we can afford it. (We'll have to fly, which is usually big $)

Do you know the area that the venue is in? Is it safe area to walk around in? Are there hotels within walking distance? Because that would cut down on costs.

Then if we could find cheep flights, it would pretty much be just the split cost of the hotel, $10 for the ticket and a meal. That would be kinda doable.

I know vaguely where it is... have you been to NYC before? It's in the chinatown area - a few blocks from Canal St & Spring St, IIRC. The area is safe if you've got a couple people with you - I'd never advise anyone walking alone at night :-P I don't know about any hotels in the area, but there are a LOT of hostels in NYC and most of them are really nice - and cheap. $30/per person I think. They're generally in midtown, but it should be easy enough to take the subway.
