Finding Neverland
Dec. 9th, 2004 10:54 pmJust got back from seeing Finding Neverland with
queenmaab. Excellent movie. I really loved the writing and the acting and the cinematography and the music. Am I the only one who didn't know J.M. Barrie was Scottish? I thought so. The woman who played Mrs. Barrie seemed strangely familiar. Hrm. Will have to look up. Oh. Mrs. Barrie is played by Radha Mitchell... Fry!! (Pitch Black) The boys were fantastic little actors. I loved all the little "imagination" sequences. Also? Two Pirates of the Caribbean actors and Hook! (Dustin Hoffman). Anyway, very good. Highly recommended.
Speaking of Depp, I've finally seen the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory trailer. Jaysus, is that thing tweaky or what? Depp looks downright creepy as Wonka... it's so very Johnny, though and I can't wait to see it. Oh, QM? It is a Burton flick.
The trailers before the movie were okay. There was Phantom, of course. Will see that. Bride & Prejudice looks amusing, 'cause who doesn't love Bollywood? Spanglish still seems like something I'd watch... when it comes on TNT. Can't remember what other trailers there were...
