hathien, is this the phone you have? Was thinking of getting it if the auction stays low enough, but I was wondering what the battery life is like. My Motorola gets about 5 days stand by at the moment.

Have you checked into the 3595? Or is it a TMobile exclusive?

I know I can ahve a shitload of ringtones (currently at 150) on it and have all the features on the other one as well. So I thought Id ask if you'd checked into it.

The two Nokias I listed are the only nice looking Nokias I've found that work with Verizon. The 3595 is cool, but my favorite is the 8290. I don't really need the fancy games and color screens and stuff. Just looking for a little trimode phone with lots of standby time. The 2285 supposedly gets 11 days.

Thanks for the link, I couldn't remember my phone model number. But there it is in the thumbnails, 7210! It's an excellent phone, but then I wanted downloadable ringtones and color screen and the ability to upload wallpaper and send e-mail and make LJ posts... Don't know what the standby time is, I don't keep track that well. Still, a nifty phone. (Pity it seems to have quit ringing when I get a call and I'm at home. May be the wireless field causing interference or something...)

Well, spazzy things happen, including me hearing the beep of a voicemail having just been left but never having heard the phone ring despite it having been A) turned on and B) in my jeans pocket all day. This happened at least three times in the past couple of weeks. (Dad left a snarky voicemail Sunday bitching at me for calling him and then turning my phone off immediately afterwards. I got the voicemail beep just fine, though I admit I don't know if it came immediately or only some time after the message had been left -- Saturday I got the voicemail beep and discovered two messages because I'd missed it both times textflesh called.)
