Woke up about 30 seconds before my mom called me. Had a discussion about how my dad is an arse and my brother wants to wear John Crichton's PK vest to the prom. Also, there's a job fair that I would have avoided... if only it weren't during April break >_< I guess this means I'm going to have to whore myself out to potential employers :-P

Gonn get in the shower before I have to meet Jen for lunch. PLans for today include work, work, and more work. Also, Kristin's supposed to stop over.

This is just a copy of my reply to something marvelgirl said because I realized I never really made/make a distinction between the military leaders of the US and the troops who are serving. And thus, I say:

I don't support the war and I believe that the military leaders are making poor decisions that are leading to the death of innocent civilians. However, I do support the soldiers, especially because they're only doing what they're told - otherwise the military system doesn't work. Hopefully none of my posts have come off sounding like I don't support the troops. Several people I know have already been called in, either for more training or to be shipped out. I hope they, and everyone else in service, return safely.

So, in the future, if I make desparaging remarks about the US or the US military, I'll try to make the distinction between the people making the orders and the people who follow them.

Damn, I wish I could sew. Of course, I don't have Ben Browder's physique, but I think I could pull off the duster look, considering my usual black leather trenchcoat outfit at conventions...

OMG if your brother does wear that to prom you have to take picture of it. And I agree about the war thing I don't support the war but the soldiers have no choice in that matter it's their job. One they can not quite without ending up in jail.
