work; costume; fearless
Sep. 30th, 2006 02:15 amWork was... well. It was. I was half an hour late this morning and when I went to tell my boss this, he just looked at me and said, "so?" Heh.
This morning I had called my uncle to arrange a little meeting with my father. I've been appointed the negotiator and so I have to iron out the terms of the divorce and find out what the hell his problem is. Uh. But in a nice, rational manner? Hm. So, Sunday we are going to my uncle's house to meet with my father. Joooooy.
Me,
seijitataki and mom went to the mall after work. Had dinner at Uno's and then I hunted the mall to find pants or a skirt to go with my jacket for my Halloween costume. Went to Urban Behavior and found the perfect skirt for $6. It's waaaaay shorter than I'd ever normally wear, but I have a pair of shorts that I can wear under it and that makes me totally okay with it. LOL (Will do pictures tomorrow.) Just need to order olive velcro for the patches and I will be good to go!
After dinner, we walked around the mall before heading to the theater to see "Fearless," the new Jet Li/Ronny Yu film. While I've never been impressed with Jet Li's American films, I really love his historical Chinese films. This is supposedly the last one he's going to do. Anyway. Great fight sequences and he really can act when he's doing it in his native language. There were some annoying college-types in the theater who giggled during the really dramatic moments and I'm not sure if they were just uncomfortable with the material (fighting???!) or the fact that it was in a foreign language and they had to read subtitles. Of course, they could have just been high. Meh. Anyhow, I recommend the film.
