costume

I am a giant costume geek. The premiere of SGA has left me in a fandom high and I decided to get the tactical pack that was posted on the SG-C forum. It's far from official BlackHawk gear, but it's nearly identical to the vest on SGA and comes with a holster and a belt. Yeah, I know, I have a holster already, but who cares? And I needed the belt. All three for $60! That's a total steal.

I think it'll look good with my faux Science team uniform, so when I get it, I'll take pictures to submit to the SG-C. Might be screen accurate from 30 feet. I dunno. We'll see. I'm excited though! Just hope the vest sorta fits :-P

Was doing yardwork this morning. Discovered that someone had ripped out one of outdoor lights. At first, all we found was a cut cord - mom thought she'd run it over while mowing the lawn. Hm. Not so much. It seems a green spotlight was missing. I couldn't even remember where it was. Anyway, we came to the conclusion that someone had come, ripped it out, and cut the cord and ran off with it. I have no idea why someone would do such a thing.

In the afternoon, as we're headed to dim dum, we're driving up to the edge of out lawn and I see the remainder of the stake for the light fixture and the socket. I suddenly remember that Friday morning I had noticed glass in the road and thought, "wtf? Why is there glass in the road?" It never occured to me what it was.

Yeah, some jackhole had ripped out our light and thrown it in the middle of the road. Who does crap like that?!
