newkidfan posted about the new NBC series, Heroes which I hadn't heard about. It looks pretty interesting, actually, and when was the last time I thought that about an NBC series? Plus, bonus Greg Grunberg!

They are putting Roar on DVD finally! WOOOHOO!!! September 29th is the planned release and it'll sell for $40. Heath Ledger! Vera Farmiga! *gleeeeee*

"Why do you write such strong female characters?" Because equality is not a concept, it's not something we should be striving for: it's a necessity. Equality is like gravity: we need it to stand on this earth as men and women. And the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition; it is life out of balance and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who is confronted with it. We need equality, kind of now.
Speaking of... I didn't make it to the Serenity Now showing at the Palace Theater last night. Instead I went toqueenmaab's for dinner. We were going to watch King Kong, but then it got kind of late to start a 3 hour movie, so we watched Doom instead. It wasn't that bad. I might buy it when it goes on super-cheap budget sale. Karl Urban was totally awesome in it, too. Good times.
